About the National FFA Organization

The National FFA (Future Farmers of America) Organization was established in 1938 by a group of young farmers as a nationwide organization to educate future agricultural leaders.

Since then, the scope of the organization has broadened to become a dynamic youth organization serving a variety of career paths, including teachers, doctors, scientists, business owners, and more. The organization serves over a million members across 9,235 chapters in all 50 states, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Customer Challenges

As a career and technical student organization with members across the country, the National FFA Organization aimed to engage middle and high school students, teachers, and members through various educational resources.

To support these needs, they needed a video library to host and share educational videos and live-stream events. Previously, the organization had been using public video-sharing sites like YouTube and Vimeo. However, these sites were often blocked by many school administrations, limiting their ability to reach students.

What’s more, as the National FFA Organization approached its 100th anniversary, it wanted to digitize tapes and other physical media to preserve its history and make it available to new generations.

Storing these vast amounts of videos meant that the organization needed an organized video library that allowed users to easily search and find content on various topics such as agricultural education, leadership programs, and more.

Once stored, they needed to embed these videos on their website as well as external platforms. To share these videos with educators, the videos also needed to be downloadable for offline viewing due to limited internet connectivity in classrooms.

Additionally, FFA frequently hosted high-production events and conferences that needed to be live-streamed to both internal members and external audiences, but their existing tools were not equipped to handle this demand.

Solution

To solve these issues, the National FFA Organization turned to VIDIZMO EnterpriseTube, an industry-recognized enterprise video content management platform.

With EnterpriseTube, FFA was able to create a centralized video library where they could easily upload, organize, and share their educational content and event recordings. This made it simpler for student members and educators to find videos on various topics, such as convention highlights, alumni videos, workshops, etc.

Moreover, the platform’s live streaming feature allowed the organizations to broadcast their events to both members and external audiences without any hassle. Teachers also gained the ability to download videos for offline use, which ensured students had access to educational content even without the internet.

Thanks to EnterpriseTube, the National FFA Organization was able to store terabytes worth of digitized footage from reel-to-reel tapes and physical media, preserving valuable content and sharing it with their community. Additionally, the platform made it easy to embed videos on their website to reach a broader audience. The organization also opted for EnterpriseTube’s automatic transcription and closed captioning features to make its content accessible to its vast number of national members. By using EnterpriseTube, the National FFA Organization was able to continue inspiring the next generation of leaders in agriculture by providing them with the tools and resources they need to learn and engage, both in and outside the classroom.
