About Yamaha

Founded in 1887, Yamaha Corporation has grown to become a global powerhouse, operating in over 40 countries with approximately 53,000 employees worldwide. Initially established as a piano and reed organ manufacturer in Japan, Yamaha now boasts a diversified portfolio, including musical instruments, audio equipment, and motor products. With a mission to enrich lives through quality products and services, Yamaha generates over $16.81 billion in revenue annually, guided by a vision to foster creativity, connectivity, and customer satisfaction globally.

Challenges

Despite their global reach and reputation, Yamaha’s one branch faced challenges that complicated the employee training process.

First, they needed a dependable, seamless way to conduct live broadcasts monthly, reaching every employee in the branch. However, simply streaming these sessions wasn’t enough. They needed to track each employee’s learning journey to gauge understanding and engagement.

Additionally, it was essential to make handouts and supplemental documents available within training videos, allowing employees to download resources like interview PDFs for future reference.

Finally, to secure these assets and ensure scalability, Yamaha wanted the solution deployed on a cloud platform, providing both security and flexibility.

Solution

Yamaha turned to VIDIZMO’s EnterpriseTube, a versatile solution that helped streamline training processes and enhance internal communication.

With EnterpriseTube, Yamaha’s branch quickly established a video library that employees could access with ease. The platform’s powerful search functionality allowed employees to quickly locate specific videos, making training content more accessible and efficient.

Beyond just video, EnterpriseTube offered the option to insert downloadable documents, such as PDF handouts, directly into the video content, enabling viewers to access all relevant materials in one place. VIDIZMO also provided Yamaha with the ability to track learning engagement.

Through EnterpriseTube, Yamaha could monitor how employees interacted with training videos, allowing managers to understand what content resonated and where improvements might be needed. The monthly live broadcasts became a straightforward process, allowing the branch to connect with hundreds of employees without technical headaches or disruptions.

Additionally, by deploying the solution on Microsoft Azure Cloud, Yamaha enjoyed a secure and scalable cloud environment, giving the branch the flexibility it needed to expand storage as necessary while maintaining high levels of security.

Impact

  • Simplified monthly live broadcasts, making it easy to reach every employee without technical challenges.
  • Improved employee access to training content through a searchable, organized video library.
  • Enabled in-video downloadable resources, giving employees immediate access to handouts and reference materials.
  • Tracked viewer engagement, helping Yamaha understand employee interactions with training materials and optimize content accordingly.
  • Leveraged Azure Cloud for secure storage and the flexibility to scale as the training needs expanded.
