About Louis Vuitton

Louis Vuitton was founded in 1854 by a young French craftsman, Louis Vuitton, in Paris as a luxury luggage brand. Over the decades, the brand expanded its range, becoming a global luxury leader recognized for its high-quality leather goods, fashion collections, and accessories.

Today, Louis Vuitton has a presence in over 50 countries. It operates a network of exclusive stores, partnering closely with resellers and distributors worldwide to uphold its legacy of excellence and exclusivity.

Challenges

For a luxury brand like Louis Vuitton, exclusivity is more than a business strategy—it’s the very foundation of its identity. The brand’s renowned commitment to craftsmanship, prestige, and quality is amplified by offering exclusive previews and showcases, where only select resellers and distributors gain a sneak peek into upcoming collections.

To achieve this, Louis Vuitton needed a secure, branded video portal that could serve as a virtual showcase room accessible only to these hand-picked partners. This approach allowed Louis Vuitton to offer resellers and distributors an intimate, controlled viewing experience that mirrored the allure of in-person events.

Ideally, this initiative would reach Louis Vuitton’s network across the APAC region. However, one of the biggest hurdles was Mainland China—a crucial market for Louis Vuitton. Strict internet regulations and technical limitations made it challenging to ensure consistent, high-quality streaming within China. These constraints often disrupted the seamless experience that Louis Vuitton envisioned, leading to buffering issues, delays, or blocked access.

The luxury brand needed a way to navigate these regional restrictions and deliver a flawless streaming experience in China, ensuring that their Chinese distributors and resellers could enjoy the same high-quality digital showcases as those in other markets.

Additionally, the platform required robust access control, allowing only pre-selected, elite partners to view Louis Vuitton’s exclusive collections. This selective access was essential for maintaining the prestige and intimate feel of their physical showrooms, where only top-tier resellers and distributors are invited to previews.

Solution

Louis Vuitton partnered with VIDIZMO to implement EnterpriseTube, a branded video streaming platform tailored to meet the unique demands of their exclusive distributor and reseller network.

VIDIZMO’s solution provided a secure, customizable video portal that offered a virtual showcase experience, accessible only to Louis Vuitton’s hand-picked partners. This digital platform allowed the brand to offer a premium viewing experience that captured the allure of in-person previews and maintained the exclusivity critical to Louis Vuitton’s identity. VIDIZMO enabled seamless integration with Azure Active Directory (Azure AD), allowing resellers and distributors to log in with ease and access exclusive content.

The platform was also optimized for playback across the APAC region, addressing one of Louis Vuitton’s most significant challenges: reliable streaming in Mainland China. Leveraging Microsoft Azure’s servers within China, VIDIZMO ensured that Louis Vuitton’s content was available without interruptions, even in a region where internet restrictions can compromise quality.

To align the digital experience with Louis Vuitton’s brand identity, the portal was fully customized with design elements that reflected the brand’s luxury and sophistication. This allowed Louis Vuitton’s audience to access an exclusive, branded digital experience that felt consistent with the prestige of the brand. Using EnterpriseTube, they were able to deliver high-quality video content in a manner that matched the high standards expected by their partners.
