About Meridian International Center

Meridian International Center is a non-partisan, non-profit organization based in Washington, D.C., dedicated to strengthening international partnerships. Meridian’s mission extends to educating and preparing the next generation of cultural exchange students, maintaining strong ties with alumni, and fostering meaningful discussions on global issues.

Challenges

As Meridian International's video content needs grew, they encountered certain limitations with their existing video streaming solution, which made it difficult to meet their evolving communication goals fully. Their existing platform fell short of essential editing capabilities, making it impossible for their team to make quick cuts or revisions to videos. With training sessions that often ran for over an hour, not being able to trim or refine content was a significant issue.

Additionally, they needed a platform that would allow for a more interactive learning experience. A serious limitation was the inability to add quizzes and slides within the videos. On top of that, Meridian wanted to share their live-streamed events—such as the Global Dialogue Series—with their alumni and stakeholders. However, it lacked the flexibility to manage these live sessions or to encourage meaningful engagement from their audience through commenting and feedback options.

The company wanted to produce approximately 20 training videos, each ranging from one hour to an hour and a half, for training cultural exchange students. To enhance the learning experience, these videos needed to support commenting and feedback features, allowing for interactive discussions. To achieve this, the company needed multiple content creators. Additionally, the videos required the inclusion of slides as visual aids to support the training content.

Solution

Recognizing these challenges, Meridian International transitioned to VIDIZMO EnterpriseTube, a platform tailored to meet their unique video content management needs. EnterpriseTube equipped Meridian with robust editing capabilities, enabling their team to make precise cuts, revisions, and updates to their video content effortlessly. VIDIZMO also empowered them to add interactive elements like quizzes, and PowerPoint slides directly into the videos.

This enhancement significantly improved the learning experience for cultural exchange students, promoting better engagement and retention of information. In addition, EnterpriseTube provided seamless live-streaming capabilities, allowing Meridian to share events with alumni and stakeholders. Features like commenting and feedback transformed their events into more dynamic and engaging experiences. For internal communication, EnterpriseTube enabled multiple content creators to collaborate effectively and create and manage video content. They could now easily upload and share resources, offering staff valuable training materials alongside video content.

Impact in a Nutshell

  • Meridian could now easily edit and update their video content, ensuring it stayed relevant and polished.
  • Training sessions became more engaging and effective for cultural exchange students and new employees.
  • Meridian’s alumni and stakeholders could now participate in live-streamed events with interactive features.
