The Entrepreneurs Foundation works to encourage entrepreneurship and innovation. Each year it hosts the Culturati Summit, where entrepreneurs from a range of industries come together to talk about the role of culture in business and how it drives organizational success. The summit draws leaders from across sectors and is one of the organization's main events of the year.
The Challenge: Video the Old System Could Not Capture or Find
The Foundation's existing video content management system was not keeping up with how the organization needed to use video, and the gaps fell into three areas.
First, search. There was no easy way to give summit attendees and the wider community on-demand access they could actually navigate. People wanted to type a phrase like "future of work" and pull up the relevant sessions right away, and the old system could not do that.
Second, the summit itself. The Foundation needed reliable live streaming for the annual Culturati Summit, embedded on its own website. After the event, each session had to be saved automatically, categorized, and made available on demand, so that people who could not attend in person still had access to the material.
Third, the apprenticeship program. That program needed a way to organize and distribute videos to participants for team activities and workshops. The Foundation's existing system did not handle any of these three jobs well.
